TAG: WHEN IN THE MASJID

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Yes, I was tagged a while ago by Ammena and then Umm Ibrahim who wanted to put the pressure on a bit. I'm sorry once again ladies for taking so long to get around to this!

The Rules:
Link back to the person who tagged you.
List 3 ahadith you’d like to pin up in your masjid and why.
Tag some of your fellow bloggers by linking to them in your post and don’t forget to post a comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been tagged.

1. Ibn 'Abbas radi Allahu 'anhu said that the Prophet sall Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "He who is not kind to our young ones, does not show respect to our elders, does not invite others to virtue and does not stop others from evil, is not one of us." (At Tirmidhi)

I chose this hadeeth because I feel that a lot of the time, children are not dealt with compassionately especially around the musallah (place of prayer) whether it's in the mosque or at home. That just doesn't sit right with me!

2. It was narrated by Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said, "By He in whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other. Should I direct you to an action that would direct you to love each other? Spread salaam among yourselves." (Abu Dawood)

I chose this one as a reminder for people to greet with salaam and it seems to be a bigger deal for women than for men! Um Almujahid mentioned these two issues in her response to this tag.

3. {Oh you who believe! When you are told to make room in the assemblies, make room. Allah will give you room...} (Suratul Mujaadilah:11)

Of course, I'm cheating here as this isn't a hadeeth. But I think it's extemely relevant and more so during busy days at the masjid (like in Ramadan). People seem to want to take care of themselves and not bother about whether others get a chance to pray or not. Yet Allah has told us that if we make space, He will make space for us!

So, there we are. Who to tag now?
